I’m a screenwriter, director, long-time marketing professional, and current President of Women in Film Kentucky. If you’re interested in collabing on a project, having me teach a workshop, or partnering with Women in Film, please drop me a line!

Hi, it’s Tara
Cocco Guptill.

I was a helicopter mechanic in the National Guard for 6 years. Yes really.

Film scores are something of an obsession. I collect them on vinyl and recently took up violin to learn to play them. After 6 short weeks, I can play a shoddy Game of Thrones intro.

I am a proud bonus mom to two amazing kiddos.

Movies I stan so hard they’ve become part of my personality: The Fast and the Furious, Holiday Rom-Coms, Tropic Thunder, National Treasure, Die Hard, and cheesy 90s action movies where surviving an animal of oversized proportions is the main plot line.

The easiest way to bribe me is with popcorn or Chinese takeout.

I make a mean cake. If it weren’t for the unfortunate circumstances of me not being British, I would have a Hollywood handshake by now. (iykyk)

In the third grade I won first place in a lip-syncing contest. I did "Don't Turn Around" by Ace of Base.

My love affair with a well-organized binder rivals that of Leslie Knope.

Travel is my love language. I’ve surfed in Costa Rica, hiked Machu Picchu in Peru, kayaked in the Mediterranean sea outside of Marseilles, baked Pastis de Nata in Lisbon, and explored ruins in Micronesia. My favorite city in the world is Montreal (because Poutine). My next stop is: wherever my teen’s college visits take us.

I am a firm believer in the oxford comma.

Improv is the most fun thing in the world. You should definitely try it. Trust me.

Most people tag me as an extrovert, but I adore time to myself. I would consider myself a social introvert. Officially, INFJ. Enneagram number 8. Gemini Sun / Taurus Rising / Aquarius moon.

Fun facts.
